- Lance Morrison plays his Ambassador on stage with Don Henley

After the latest east coast tour with Don Henley, Lance Morrison reports, "Found this on an Eagles fansite. I'm kinda holding her like a date at a high school dance, but maybe I was just shifting my weight. She was a joy to play and everyone loved it, so many thanks to you and Steve! Actually, and this is a compliment, Don was a little taken aback by the low end this bass put out (the FOH guy ended up shelving out a lot below 50 Hz out). In any case, I get to keep it here and practice with it, instead of it going to Dallas for storage.
Thanks again for everything!"

- Scott Wilson jammin' with his Ltg Bug

Scott Wilson from the Yukon Territories says, "These photos are of an evening bluegrass jam with friends on the beach at Letnikof Cove, just south of Haines, Alaska. Paired with a very portable battery-powered bass amp the Lightning Bug has been so easy to travel with and use in remote settings."

- Peter Black from Australia with his hollow-body Ltd Ed Ltg Bug

Airline pilot Peter Black will give his Ltg Bug some rigorous "road testing" as he travels the real world. Here he is visiting Rancho Bajo with his special hollow-body Ltg Bug, his daughter Hannah (an aspiring bassist)in her cute hat, and their friend from Orange, CA.
Upon his return to Australia, he gave us his first report -
"The bass traveled well. Judging from the scuff marks, treatment was pretty rough on Qantas but inside all was fine. Our small Aussie SUV has 60/40 split rear seats and with the 40 side folded the bass slides neatly in with 3 seats still free so the case will be great for traveling locally also.
I did not have time to show (my wife)Heather the bass in LA but she loved it when she saw it and was 'knocked out' by your workmanship, Steve. It now sits on its stand with 'pride of place' in the media room looking really spectacular standing on the rich red Aussie jarrah floor. Of course standing there looking wonderful isn't the [only] aim so now it is time for the teacher to appear. Isn't that what is supposed to happen when the student is ready? I've decided to learn the blues and rockabilly styles first. You know, I reckon it will be better to first learn those walking bass lines found in 12 bar blues and simple rockabilly to get my fingers and mind moving. I can then 'reverse engineer' that back into bluegrass. So come on down, teach, wherever you are.
So thanks again for starting me off on this most wonderful adventure. You will always be able to say you knew me before I was famous!
Peter"

- Andry Ramiandrasoa in France plays his special BugBass with Mambo Mute

Here's a nice note he sent recently -
"Hello Jill,
I had a look on the Azola basses website just for fun, and seems that Steve designed new models that looks awesome. Congratulations for this continous innovation, creativity and improvement of the instrument. It is simply wonderful to see how Steve's passion can bring such amazing result.
I wanted to again thank you both, for making me such a happy owner of such an awesome instrument. It is now one year I have the BugBass, and I am still amazed about how beautiful it is and how warm and deep it sounds. I changed recently to a SWR amp, but I think the sound I prefer for now is directly on the EV speakers that have amp. The natural sound of the bass is so so warm and deep, that such non specialized (it is not designed for bass) speakers tells for me everything about the quality of the instrument. On the run as I improved my technical skills, the pleasure to play with my bass is growing bigger and bigger. Thank you so much again, again, I feel so happy to play with it. As well, I wanted to share with you a photo, that you can if you want to, post on your website. I am so proud of owning an instrument that is unique, and being part of the Azola family.
Warm greetings !
Andry"

- Ben Adiletto in NJ with his custom Ltd Ed hollow-body MiniBass

Ben explains the Spider Man mask on his headstock, while he played this gig with his band ... and what *is* the name of the band?? -
"Really great to see the picture up there. The band's name is Heavy as Hell? (With the question mark, just for fun).
I am just a big Spiderman fan. Thought it'd be fun if I put it on there. Sometimes I'll put a fedora hat on there, and people really like that."
Earlier, Ben shared his reaction to his new bass -
"It's been an amazing week Jill. I can't tell you how much I love the bass, every time I pick it up (thats if I put it down) I just love it even more."
and a bit later on ...
"I can't tell you how much this instrument amazes me, honestly every time I pick it up I just fall in love with it even more.
I'm hoping to get some good pictures playing this weekend for you to put on the site.
I can't thank you enough, Jill."
And later, after his first real gig with it -
"Thanks again for everything Jill, I can't tell you how great everything is with the bass. It's surpassed every expectation. Really feels like I've got a full size upright in the room."
