As the years go by, Steve's gigging needs seem to change. From blues bands to swing bands to trop-rock to the SRV tribute act and "Heavy Cream" (Cream tribute) ... lots of "tools of the trade" have been part of his arsenal. But he probably doesn't need to keep that "Marshall stack", at this point. So he has decided to list some of his personal gear here, in an effort to pass it along to someone in the bass community who may be able to put it to good use. - Hofner Blonde Club Bass $2000
By special arrangement, Steve obtained two "naked" Club Basses from Hofner, so that he could give them both a special blonde finish (something that is not available from Hofner). One was for Dave Roe, a member of Hofner's artist roster, and the other was for Steve's personal use.
Once he completed the finish work and assembly, Steve realized the bass was just too small for him (he's a pretty big guy). He played out with it just a few times, so it remains in "like new" condition.

- Custom Jazz-style 5 string $2000
This is a custom 5-string Jazz-style bass, which Steve built for himself. However, he just doesn't find himself playing a 5-string these days. This bass is in perfect "as new" condition.

- Marshall-style bass stack $1000
Steve built this Marshall-style bass stack for his Cream tribute band a few years ago (Heavy Cream).
It is covered in Marshall Green Levant, with vintage-type basket-weave grilles and Marshall logos on the cabinets.
Top cabinet -

The cabinets were built in our workshop to replicate early Marshalls, but they are slightly smaller (27" x 27") for easier transport.
The head cabinet was made to house a modern 2-space bass head (not included), with extra space for stowing cords and miscellaneous.
